Through experiencing drawing under musical induction, you learn to know yourself and enrich your creativity by using multiple methods - music, drawing, writing, and oral expression – to deepen your understanding. This is coupled with the use of a variety of assessment tools and questionnaires to gain insight into your evolution.

The method of Psycho-Astrology is based on the Initiatory Astrology of the Ancient Magi and modern science. In this remarkably unique methodology, the chart is not approached through the time of birth, but through your family name, forename, nicknames and date of birth, which are transformed to numbers.

In our time, initiatory astrology is no longer a path reserved for a privileged class as it was in ancient Chaldea  (an ancient region of Mesopotamia that came into being between the late 10th or early 9th centuries BC). Each life is a slow initiation. To be initiated is to be enlightened in successive steps. It is to  understand the tests, the chain of cause and effect and to discover the world while discovering oneself. All consultations provide a personalized interpretation.

The knowledge of the
physiological terrain

The goal of our approach is to share information to the person who wants to take charge of their life and heal themselves naturally thanks to the diverse knowledge available on the terrain.

Understanding the purpose and meaning of an illness is crucial. We are not indiscriminately exposed to an affliction, because they are inherently, as Plutarch reminds us, signs of something amiss. How one expresses an imbalance can be different for each individual. When we mask or suppress symptoms, or when we treat a physical condition without attending to its meaning and message, we deny the value of the sign.

Edward Tick in The Practice of Dream Healing reminds us that although scientific medicine can restore function it is temporary. Unless the root cause is identified, nothing has changed, nothing has been learned, and no growth or rebirth has been realized. Moreover, a sign suppressed or treated without deeper understanding often resurfaces as another sign, even as another trauma or illness.

This is why we consider it important to know and address the psychic and spiritual terrain of the person before approaching the physiological to achieve deep healing.

"I discovered Chantal and CAP from a breast cancer healing retreat. My first session during the retreat left me feeling uneasy... I felt I had to fix my story quickly in order to move forward in life and heal. (This is the way I typically operate, and little did I know this was about to change and is still changing, grace) Since then, by their grace and generosity with their time, I have done many more sessions. Each one has had its own purpose, timing, and healing component. One of the most healing sessions was a session called "a buried dream". The theme is revealed after the session. The unlocking of these stored and pent-up emotions were released in a huge and healing wave. This never could have transpired, in my experience, with conventional therapy. This session alone has been one of the most healing. However, the beauty of CAP and their program is the continued gift of tapping into your subconscious to bring forth genuine healing and transformation. Meet the Visionaries & Advisors

Chantal Desmoulins, PhD

Chantal met the composer Alain Amouyal at the age of 20 when she was still a college student.She was so impressed by the psychological power of his music that she decided to invest her considerable expertise in symbolism, anthropology, psychology and pedagogy into Alain’s work both creatively and therapeutically.  

She has supervised the implementation of the Catharsis Technique, a creative expression program to treat mental and emotional conditions, at facilities in France, Switzerland, and the United States and she has trained numerous practitioners in private practice and mental health facilities. She is unquestionably unique in the way she analyzes drawings.  

Deeply involved in the genre of fairy tales and myth from a very young age, she sees the imagination not simply as a collection of isolated images, but as a complex combination of elements which are all linked together. For Chantal, imagination is an energy that has a liberating and deeply cathartic function. While it exposes truths and uncovers one’s 'buries treasures', it is the ultimate place of creativity.

Alain Amouyal, Composer

Since 1974, Dr. Alain Amouyal has created music that has helped thousands of people around the world. Since the age of 24 he has been trained in and initiated into ancient and deep spiritual knowledge that sheds light on today's problems and allows us to look at them from a inventive angle. His music and all his knowledge reflect the patient, discreet work he has accomplished throughout his life. His research has led to a comprehensive spiritual program of discovery. 

As a neoclassical composer, he had the privilege of recording his symphonic work, with the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices at Abbey Road Studio in London. This work is the musical basis of The Orpheus Project, He has also collaborated with some of the world’s most renown artists, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices, the Belarusian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, orchestrator Conrad Pope, and famed recording engineer Shawn Murphy, among others.

Janis Gruska, NMD

As a 1991 graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Janis Gruska practices primary care medicine with a focus on the healthcare of women and children. The fusion of modern medical knowledge with traditional healing methods assures that everyone who seeks her help receives comprehensive medical care with individualized therapeutic support. In her practice she strives to create an attentive and compassionate atmosphere with an emphasis on supporting positive change through life transitions. She incorporates an extensive selection of complementary medical interventions which include homeopathy, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, subtle energy therapeutics and mind/body counseling.  

During her professional career, Dr. Gruska has chosen to share her knowledge of naturopathic medicine through teaching. She has taught at the Sonoran University in Arizona and is currently an academic and clinical associate professor of gynecology and pediatrics at Bastyr University California.

Over the past decade Dr. Gruska has been a part of the Catharsis Technique professional staff. She has played a key role in the adaptation of instructional material and integration of the program in the United States. As a trained facilitator, she is actively working on incorporating the Catharsis Technique methodology as a mind/body counseling technique at Bastyr University Clinic in California.

Dr. Gruska is pleased to serve on the Board and to be of service as a key advisor for The Orpheus Institute.
